Twitter seems to be all the rage right now in the social world of the internet. Simply put, it is a website that allows you to “micro-blog” from your computer or mobile device.
I would say that I have become very addicted to twitter in a short amount of time. I joined about a year ago and only updated a few times. I just came back to it a month or so ago, and now I’m updating constantly. It’s such an easy way to communicate with people from all over the world. It is also a great way to find out about websites, blogs, events, and new ways to keep the internet interesting and fresh. After finding so many different blogs through Twitter, it really inspired me to start full on blogging.
I’ve noticed that a lot people just don’t understand Twitter or why anyone would want to use it. I’ve tried to explain it to a few people, but I think that the video below made by Common Craft explains it best. If you are trying to convince some of your friends to sign up for Twitter like I am, point them towards this video.
Twitter is growing rapidly and inspiring a lot of 3rd party applications and tools for making your Twitter experience better and more interesting. A good site to check out some of these cool extras is Twitterholics.

Haha, I’ve also started pushing that video onto my “low-tech” friends trying to talk them into Twitter. It’s really well done, and perfectly convincing.
Congrats on finally getting the blog up and running (and thanks for that sidebar link over there).
